System intent
THORNWALL is the final autonomous layer of the Unified Mechanics architecture. It is being designed to accept a mission from COMPOSITION, deploy from TANKARD, and maintain the onboard guidance, state estimation, and terminal control required to complete the intercept.
THORNWALL is an autonomous counter-UAS interceptor designed to receive the mission, launch from TANKARD, and close the terminal engagement through onboard guidance and a proximity blast-fragmentation defeat mechanism.
Public capability profile
Accepts the assigned engagement from COMPOSITION and carries mission context into the launch sequence.
Combines guidance, state estimation, and terminal control onboard the interceptor throughout the final engagement.
Designed as the interceptor element of the TANKARD protected-launch architecture.
Intended to defeat the target through a proximity blast-fragmentation mechanism at the close of the intercept.
