System intent
The engagement begins with a track the rest of the system can trust. HEED is being developed to turn airspace observations into a persistent tactical track, giving operators and connected systems the information required to understand what is moving, where it is moving, and what must happen next.
HEED detects and tracks airborne threats, then supplies actionable track data to COMPOSITION. It is designed to operate as a standalone radar or as the sensing package within a larger Unified Mechanics deployment.
Public capability profile
Establishes awareness of airborne objects inside the defended volume and supports continued observation as the scene changes.
Converts detections into structured tracks that can be maintained, evaluated, and passed into the mission layer.
Supplies track information to COMPOSITION so sensing, operator judgment, and downstream action remain connected.
Designed to serve as a standalone radar or as the sensing package within a distributed Unified Mechanics deployment.
