System intent
Coverage is not created by a sensor alone. MOUND provides the field infrastructure that lets sensing, compute, and communications operate where the mission requires them. Its modular architecture is intended to support different payloads and network roles without rebuilding the deployment layer around each one.
MOUND is a deployable node for power, communications, edge compute, enclosure, mast, and sensor interfaces. It can host HEED, another sensor package, or operate as a communications and processing node within a distributed network.
Public capability profile
Packages the power, enclosure, mast, and service interfaces required to place mission hardware in the field.
Links distributed sensing and edge systems so information can move across the defended area.
Hosts local compute close to the sensor, reducing dependence on a single centralized processing point.
Designed to operate with HEED, another sensor package, or as a communications and processing node without radar.
